The pat mcafee show actually pointed this rule out during preseason where a ref said Justin Tucker missed a 65 yarder in practice even tho it was right down the middle.

The rule books state that they can review whether or not a field goal went in unless it went over the up right in which case it’s the refs on the field who make the final decision.

Yes it’s stupid but that’s how it works

Does anyone know if the initial call on the field was that the FG was good? If so, I guess this is the right call. If not, Iowa got jobbed here.
