I've been having WAAAY too much fun just dragging these chains around in my screen, hope you guys enjoy it too :)

I'm so glad you included Unreal to your pipeline

Wow UE is getting better and better. Less need to go back and forth between other programs now! My holy trinity is still Blender, After Effects and UE. I think Epic eventually wants UE to become DCC software as well as a game engine, kinda like Blender, lessening the need to go elsewhere and make round trips etc and do everything in UE. Love you videos BTW so thank you!

Nice basic setup but probably won’t scale to well if you want a 100 link chain, perfect opportunity to teach folks about construction scripts and exposing variables on blueprints :)

Thanks for that one and actually explaining what happens in Alex's video :)

thank you, helped me kick the can of learning how to screw around with physics assets down the road for another day

Could you do a version of this tutorial for a multi root chain for example those from shackles.

Instead of copypasta every link and constraint, you could use a spline and have them placed automatically along that spline. save you some time 😉

I have to say this is super important:

there once was two men fishing, one young man and one old bearded man. The bearded man saw the young man struggleing to catch a fish, but the old man caught them left and right. The old man says the the young man, "come hop into my boat, i will show you how to fish", so the two boarded the boat and rowed out into the lake.. the old man says " your bateing wrong, in order to catch them you must use the right kind of bait" the young man said with interest "ohhh i see, you must know how to do it qwite well then? Because i saw you over there by yourself popping them off left and right. You have bin doing this a long time havent you?" The old man replys " yes longer than you have bin alive, i know qwite a lot about it" so the young man says "so does this make you a master?" The old man says, "well i would not say a master myself but im fairly good" the young man says " ohh are you sure? Because you totaly look like a "Master bater" to there was a large splash and the old man rowed back to the shore alone... 🤣

I can't enable "simulate physics" on all the other chains that are not part of the root.

how would you add audio to this kind of thing?
