Speaking from my own experience as someone who got saved as a teenager and for a time went wayward. The difference is conviction. I lived for myself and the world and denied Christ in my early 20s to my early 30s. I didn't really understand it at the time but I was essentially in perpetual state of conviction. Rather than respond to it correctly, I developed bitterness, anxiety, depression and turned to self medicating with alcohol and marijuana. Thankfully I returned to God in June 2013, praise the Lord for bringing me back to Him. I take responsibility for my own bad choices and sin, but one of the most important lessons I learned from this is the value and necessity of friendship, discipleship and being accountable to a pastor and a church family.

I'm very glad that you made this video brother. I could never understand why pastors and bible teachers (who believe in eternal security/OSAS) seldom mention what happens to believers when they sin by choice.

This is unfortunate because it helps explain why OSAS is NOT a "license to sin".

The chastisement (God's discipline) can be very painful and Christians need to be aware of this reality.

1 Corinthians 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Spencer this was a perfect explanation, of real Christian and a nice fellow...from scripture. John 10:27-29 states that no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand...I'm very glad of that. He will not let go of us, but will chasten us.

Jesus didn't say "go make converts" He said go make disciples. Big difference between someone who goes to church and someone who knows The Lord and is saved.

I was born again. But I am struggling in my heart. I still. I do notice I've made some changes and I am not doing that to virtue signal, I really can't tolerate that music anymore, but I feel like they are superficial and I want to see more growth. I don't like things I used to. I don't listen to majority of music I used to. Actually I don't listen to any of the old music I used to. I also don't like watching things that I used to. But I feel like my struggle is with the same behaviors/habits otherwise. I did get baptized a long time ago. But I did not read my Bible like I am supposed to. I didn't attend church regularily, I don't preach the gospel ...well only to some people' but not to everyone, I find it hard to love some people, I want to change!

When we say that we can lose our salvation when we’re saved, we’re basically saying that Jesus’ death on the cross wasn’t sufficient enough for a certain sin we committed.

Ty he only way you cannot walk away is if somehow you lost your freedom of choice. So show me the verse that says God revokes your freedom of choice when you get “saved.”
