I still don't understand why they didn't make another Genesis album with Phil. Yes he said he quit because he wanted to spend more time with is family and to focus on his solo career but the Calling all stations tour ended in 1998. Between 1992 and 2010 (when the health issues got really serious) Phil released Both Sides, Dance into the Light, Tarzan, Testify, Brother Bear and Going Back. That's six separate projects with most of them having tours to match with an album release, four of these projects were after Calling All Stations. I would trade all of that for just one more Genesis album in the style around early 1980's, like a sort of Duke album or even better 1970's but that probably wouldn't happen. My point is just that between 1998 and 2010 they could've made another album with a tour, just one would've been enough. There certainly was interest from the multiple times the three of the came together to put on a small show or the now two farewell tours. It would've been a great way to end off their legacy, one final album, with one final tour. Somewhere between 2000 and 2010 would've been a great time, even if it was Phil just singing and maybe Chester Thompson doing the drum recordings. I just think it's really sad we never got to see a new Genesis album with technology from the 2000's, a lot of other older prog bands did. Ah well it's just a thought, we got what we've got and i'm at least grateful for that.
