Joyful movement sometimes sounds too good to be true. Maybe you're someone like me who has dealt with disordered eating and body dysmorphia, so exercise always seemed like a punishment or a time to zone out and get done what "needed" to be done. That is why Resist and Recover was started.

For this class it is suggested to have:
-a light set of dumbbells (for you) (this can be water bottles or soup cans too!)
-a medium set of dumbbells (for you) (only a suggestion)

Resist and Recover classes focus on finding what works for YOU through a mind-body connection. Although this class suggests weights, you do not need them. Although I suggest movements throughout the video, you do not need to do them. Again, these classes are about YOU.

In all of my classes, I encourage you to say grounding phrases with me as we move. These help us stay present in our bodies and rewire the negative self-talk to be kinder to ourselves. Here are the grounding phrases from this class:

▶︎ I love the person I am becoming.
▶︎ I love and forgive my past self.

Please take these with you throughout your day.
