SOBO Canister Filter with UV (Quick Review)

Finally changed my aquarium filter! 🤗
Clean water means healthier and happier fish. 😉 Also saves water 💧 as I don’t need to frequently change it, and longer time between maintenance means I get to enjoy watching my fish more than cleaning their 💩! 😜🎉

More thoughts.

Pros:
- affordable compared to other branded canisters
- easy to set-up
- fairly quiet
- option to turn UV light on and off
- spare parts are available and easy to find (impeller/UV lamp), they are included in the set but are also sold separately if you need replacements
- it workssss!

Cons:
- the attachments for water inlet/outlet do not fit aquariums with thick edges or margins, I wish the horizontal part that hooks on the side are extendable
- plastic quality feels a bit flimsy but it’s cheap - we get what we pay for ☺️
- priming can be tough, I had to pump a lot initially but now everything is easy peasy (tip: fill the canister with about 3/4 water before starting and give a light tap or shake to remove extra bubbles inside)

I have the same. Replace the tubing and it will work better. The supplier tubes are of a low quality. I went to my local aquarium/ fish shop. For better water flow use the little pump handle to create pressure in the pump systems for teh pump itself to pump correctly. Thanks for the video.

I would put the output on the other end and intake in the opposite., for small water flow/movement
