the lightaber had a 360° cutting edge, allowing it to strike and block omnidirectionally and increasing versatility, but its heat and energy had to be dispersed along the larger cutting surface and were therfore dampened, while the darksabre has a focused edge, concentrating the energy for more direct, heavy, blows givifn the sabre more overwhelming power, while reducing its mobility and limiting its fighting style.

I think generally they are actually equal in power but if you know how the darksabre works you can as the armorer said in the mandolarion "You're fighting the blade"
You can fight the blade when in certain moments to make it more effective

I think in terms of raw energy output the Darksaber is more powerful but had drawbacks that hold it back. It was said to be heavier than a standard saber, requires more focus and commitment from its user, and its more sword-like design meant it more of a slashing weapon whereas a saber could do it all.

The darksaber even in legends is the most powerful hand held wepon as far as I understand. Beskar is meant to fight light sabers so the 2 comboined into a weird way that cant be remade. Its like captain Americas shield in the comics. Id love to see a powerfull being using the darksaber, cap's comic shild, and instead of the infinity stones being in a gauntlet put then into a suit so instead of it all being focused on one limb its devided up. If someone wants to add on giving me ideas on what to add once I start Graphic design classes soon ill start building this guy

it generally depends how you use the dark saber and who uses the dark saber is a intresting and in damage much better but if were talking about in battle easily a lightsaber cause a jedi is more wise and knowing of moves mandolorians use so a lightsabe in battle is better
