If it tingles it work" my momma learned the hard way I ain't following on her footsteps. If it tingles I rinse it off. Took my mom at least 2 years for it to fully heal. Even then you could still see it.

Always found it to be a scam that skin care brands will say a serum should be avoided around the eye and mouth area then use the same ingredients for eye creams. I lather all my serums on the eyes and mouth and no hyperpigmentation here!

100 percent on the tingling thing! I’ve chemically burned my face several times. I have eczema as well and my skin is pretty sensitive. Aloe Vera is a godsend for me!

I have ultra sensitive skin. Whenever I use a new product, it makes my skin red. But after using it a few more times, the irritation stops. I literally used baby moisturizer, and it made my skin red and tingly until it got used to it.

The ONLY time I will ever use eye cream is when it comes as a free sample 😂

I have super annoying dark circles and hyperpigmentation under my eyes, as well as some fine lines, so I use an eye cream bc it improves how it looks and feels, but not all eye creams are created equal and I wouldn't say its a necessity unless you're like me and have something specifically that you want to treat

The Ordinary BHA and Glycolic Acid burn for me but my skin is left clearer, glowing and rejuvenated though 😅

The ordinary aha/bha peel is great IF you need it and use it correctly. So many people got chemical burns because of tik tok.
You don't need your face to look like it's covered in blood and you DONT leave it on for more than a few minutes and you DEFINITELY don't use it after manually exfoliating or using other products containing retinol, vit c, and several others on your face.

Yes to everything except #1. MOST eye creams are a scam and the use for less bags/brightening is usually where the scam lies. BUT, some face products should be avoided around the eyes, especially because the skin is thinner. Also it can get into your eyes worse case scenario. However, yes, most of my retinols and face creams are good enough for the eye area too

This is 100% true! My dermatologist told me the exact same thing. You dont need eye cream, just apply multiple thin layers of your moisturizer until your skin feels hydrated. Feel your skin!! Retinol, true! Apply small amounts for mighty results! Also, there is no "activation" going on when rubbing creams on your hands. Cleanser is the only thing that needs to be applied onto hands to create bubbles! Let it sit for a max of 1 min so cleanser can have time to clean! Great advice!

The ordinary’s aha/bha peel is not supposed to burn. Maybe slight tingling at first. I haven’t heard anyone claim that yet. It’s an excellent product, but I do think some people leave it on too long. The directions recommend 10 minutes, but I think starting out with 5 is a better option.

this is so important!! my mom is the kind of people who would do anything a specialist told her just because of their title, it took me so long to convince her she needs to use sunscreen even if she was using the moisturizer + fps her esthetician gave her lol

My skin around my eyes gets really dry and If I put regular moisturizer around my eyes it leaks into my eye actualize during the day and burns them so yes Eye cream is a necessity i’ve also seen a huge difference In puffiness

The Ordinary peel you showed works wonders for me. That being said it doesn’t burn my skin personally, it doesn’t even tingle. Doesn’t feel like anything to me unless it gets on my lips (then it tingles a bit, kinda like lemon juice). My skin always looks so smooth after I use it. I think The Ordinary is a great, inexpensive skincare line. Another fave of mine is their Azelaic acid.

... I thought I was going to have to disagree with you but damn you hit the nail on the head. I hardly ever sell people products they don't need it's a waste of money even though I get commission I don't want to have to feel like I need to con people to get what I want.

I only use eye cream when my eyelids feel more dry than other parts of my face, especially when I put a lot of makeup on my eyes for a while.

Thank you for calling out the BS marketing gimmicks of the beauty industry! Most of the time, they're just after your hard-earned cash. I applaud you for this.👏👏👍👍

I use my fingertips when I apply serums/moisturizers. The only thing I put in the palm of my hand is my toner and I pat it in instead of rubbing.
