The Big Iron meme is probably the second biggest reason that this song became so popular, behind New Vegas. Big Iron is unironically a good song, and I guarantee you that the majority of people who've heard Big Iron memes have gone out of their way to listen to the original, and some have even checked out his other works. If I were an artist, I'd be incredibly grateful that a song I made became so popular, and brought so much joy and laughter to people generations after my death.

Marty was great, but to call him the greatest male singer of _all time_ is just irresponsible and borderline disrespectful to Marty in a way. He wasn't an egotist, he knew his range was limited, he knew what kinda music he knew how to make, and that's all he ever tried his best to do. Claiming he's some vocal god when that's just not what he was about just shows that that commenter didn't really respect the song or the person that made it. Ironically, the guy making sentence mixing parodies has a better handle on the kind of attitude a real old fashioned cowboy would take. You want to be a nuisance and complain about something that does no harm while contributing nothing?
