How To Fix a Keyboard When The WASD Keys & Arrow Keys Get Flipped

STOP! BEFORE You write some ignorant insult or angry comment telling me I "wasted" three whole minutes of your life and that I could have made this video in 10 seconds... YES, You are right. I see now that the solution I found for my keyboard obviously works for about 58 billion different brands and models of keyboards out there. However at the time, I figured this was just the solution for our particular brand and model and that every specific keyboard was a little different. My desire was to show people HOW to find the solution for their own keyboard themselves. My desire was to HELP PEOPLE, Not "waste 3 minutes of your lives"!

- Also trying the FN key and pressing your WINDOWS icon key might do the trick for some of you out there.
.- .If all else fails, try either unplugging your keyboard cord from your tower and plugging it back in
- OR Try simply REBOOTING your computer.

THANK YOU!! Just bought my son a new gaming Pc for Christmas and he comes downstairs 30 mins after I put it together crying because his keyboard was all backwards.

My son has a IBUYPOWER keyboard: to reset (for anyone who needs it), hold down the Fn (function button) and W for like 7 seconds.

Instantly fixed it!

To me, you saved me a ton of time. After struggling for almost maybe 4 hours to find a solution to just use my keyboard for typing, I almost gave up and then I came across your channel. It only took me about 1:53 of this video to unlock the problem that I had. Thank you, thank you, thanks. The problem I had was I couldn't use the WASD keys at all. They were functioning as an arrow. It is one of those fancy blackweb keyboard that have a ton of keys on every corner that I have no use for it. It is a gigantic gaming keyboard that was on sale. So I bought it and was just trying to use it for typing. That is it. But was stuck with this WASD keys functioning as an arrow. This video solved my problem. Look no further, this is the solution for most keyboards.

found this via on-screen keyboard. this was a fun trip, i didn't even realize it had switched with arrow keys.
