iPhone 15 Pro Cinematic Video Footage | Apple LOG 4K HEVC

I tested the iPhone 15 Pro over the past month during a trip through Thailand and can't recommend it enough for video creation. But see for yourself in this video.

The footage was shot with the Blackmagic Camera App in 4K 24P & 60P in HEVC internally, without an external SSD. That saves a lot of space and makes 4K60P possible.

I've completely changed my mind about the iPhone, so much so I sold my iPhone 15 and got the 15 Pro, just to have LOG. Amazing work, thank you!

Let’s not miss the fact that your editing skills make this video great lol the iPhone 15 pro max camera is definitely a beast but the man behind the camera and the man behind the computer is what it comes down to at the end of the day 💯 great work champ!

No way 😲😲 This looks absolutely stunning! Best example that gear really doesn’t matter 👍🏻

Of course the iPhone 15 Pro still is very expensive, but I think for the average viewer it’s really hard to tell a difference between this footage and a premium mirrorless with good lenses. Normally it’s really easy for me to see the differences, but here I really don’t don’t notice that much. Of course great editing helps!

I would be interested in a “normal” Vlog with the iPhone. A mix between talking/vlogging and some Cinematics. I think the wide angle from iPhone maybe is a little bit too much distorted for talking head and doesn’t offer any depth of field. But beside from that it’s absolutely unbeliebte what kind of shots you are able to collect “just” with a phone.

Cinematic mode and this log profile is really a step forward. If they improve a little bit more it’s a serious alternative for a DSLM. Smaller, no need to change lenses, more stable…

I'm glad to see you shooting video in Thailand and getting to practice shooting video on iPhone 15 Pro. but I don't know how to create a color-corrected video like yours.🥰😍

Did you use an ND? If so do you recommend ND for iPhone footage. Cool video!

Another great video, thank you. Okay, you asked, here goes, I would love to see a comparison video and thoughts of how the iPhone compares to the new DJI Pocket 3.

Hey this looks so nice! I’m wondering if you use an anamorphic lens since the footage looks wider and more cinematic. Or did you just add letterbox? Anyway, the video and especially the editing is really good!

So would you say that the iPhone 15 Pro is better than the Samsung galaxy s24 ultra when it comes to video quality?

Amazing footage! You have a new subscriber! One question, did you use an ND filter?

I'm gonna say it, it's just too dark. Not realistic to life. A shot with the train you can literally hardly see the people in the shadows. I get it, they're in shadows. Shadows aren't night time in the day. I had to hit the brightness on my laptop and then check a different video and it's the grading. I've been to half these places. I've seen them with my own eyes. They do not look like it's dusk all day. I've used REC709 for years from Amira's to Sony's and it simply shouldn't be this dark. The footage looks lovely, the grading is extremely distracting. Sorry I know negative comments aren't good to read. Apologies but someone has to say something. I've worked broadcast/commercials for about 25 years. This would all need to go back to the edit suite IMHO. I get it's a phone. I get its YouTube. Sadly, this isn't pro level grading. Peace...

Great shots. Do you first apply rec709 transformation and afterwards additional luts/color grading?
