Turkey solo driving tour (20) Ayvalik to Canakkale (170km)

17 days driving tour Turkey total about 4000km. From Istanbul flew to Adiyaman then rented a car for 3 days, then came back to Istanbul rented a car for 2 weeks. Driving in Turkey is quite safe and there's only a few traffics between cities, the national high ways are all quite new, local drivers sometime run 150-160km/h. The limit speed is 110km/h, you can drive no more 130km/h. Local roads normal have 70km/h and 90km/h limits, of course in cities or towns, the limit could be 50km/h or 30km/h. The polices normally put the check points at 70km and 90km roads, approaching or leaving towns. All the speed test devices installed on the bars up to the roads
automatically testing your speed. There are quite a lot these check points in Turkey!
