Do not forget my favorite (unfortunately extinct) bird, that came in a package deal with the moa. It’s the Haast’s eagle, a gigantic bird that hunted the Moa for lunch, it went extinct only 800 years ago approximately at the same time as the moa. Could you imagine if that bird was still alive, medieval plate armor would be the best way to protect your kids and yourself from being stabbed by it’s 6 cm long talons. In the clothing store there would certainly be a section advertised as: our finest and most fashionable plate armor perfect for little Jonny’s first bike ride or your morning jog 😆
