Last year we purchased our very first RV, Canadian dealership FraserWay that rents Adventurer RV’s. We bought the smallest Class C, Adventurer Alp, 4 season RV made for Canadian winters. It’s on a Ford E-350 chassis. It parks in a regular size parking spot!
It’s a 2020, was rented for three years, 50 000 kms and is in great shape.
Was great to purchase it from a reputable dealer, we’re very happy with our purchase.
Good luck with your search!

I really enjoyed the perspective you made this video from. I don't buy anything over $500 without sleeping on it, and giving a second thought on if it's a need or a want. If it's meant to be it'll be there tomorrow if I still want to make the purchase. I do like the idea that these rentals are manufactured with better floors and roofs, because I think the rv industry builds them as they are so they rot over time and you have to upgrade more frequently. Salesman have a family to feed at home, so they don't care about taxes, insurance, or your payments after the sale. It's nice to see that y'all aren't impulse buying because you're there under the pressure, great job showing that.

Jason Go is a straight shooter, we bought a 2016 30A, from Cruise America, through him, and were very happy with it…

So maybe I missed it but am I understanding that you’ll have two RVs one for the entire family to go camping and one for short local trips.
May I suggest that you rent from Cruise America a unit identical to the unit that you are planning to purchase take it camping over a weekend so you can judge how it drives how it rides and how set up and take down will be with this smaller unit. We did this when we were looking to buy an RV and we rented one of the cruise America units, we decided that the ride was too rough and the unit rattled too much. We preferred the nice comfortable ride that comes with airbag suspension. even though it’s only two of us we love having the space I agree it is more difficult to maneuver once you get to the campground but we find that it’s worth it just to have the comfort

My brother bought a two year old Burning Man rental, bumper pull, that was two years old. It had some alkaline dust inside and in the compartments but it cost him a quarter of the original price. It was in pretty good shape. 10 years later they are still using that rig.

Check out Retro Reno’s in Jacksonville. They sell and refurbish fiberglass trailers like Casitas and Scamps and even nicer bigger ones like Escape(custom made in BC). I know you want a motor home/class C, but if you want well made with minimal leaking over time and it holds its value GO FULL FIBERGLASS.

We are getting an Escape 5.0 in less than two weeks. We are super excited.

I just bought a majestic23A a month ago! I got an inspection and I love it. I paid cash and had extra money to get a lift and suspension upgrade and still had extra money for 360 degree camera cellular router and more. This is in my top 3 choices I have made.

Thank you for this video. I’m in Florida and been considering looking at one of these units to park at my mother’s home for staying in while care taking her without living in her home. Very informative

This is like buying a car from Enterprise. Cool perspective!

I would look into El Monte RV out of Orlando. Same situation(used rentals for sale). There a little more money but way less miles and comes with awnings, class A and class C. Btw, they also have locations all over the country.

The thing that concerned me when I considered Cruuse America last year was the high mileage on all the units. All were over 100 K at that time.

Definitely look into getting a Big Foot class c. You can get one as low as $22k for a 2004 model. They are built solid.

If they allow you to have a mechanic do an inspection prior to purchase, I would. 152K miles is not super concerning as the motor should last between 200-300K normally, so if a mechanic blessed off on it I wouldn't be that concerned.

You all will make the right decision. I think it is too small but only you all know what will work for your family. Good luck with your decision making.

The one thing I don’t like about the corner bed is getting in and out especially for 2 people.

There is no way i'd be buying any rv that has moisture inside, (or even ants 😳), cause that's a guaranteed u have mold in the wood where u cant see it by glancing at it and delamination on the outside 😱. U gotta be handy to fix that type of damage. Anything that has lifted trim or damage crunch that wasn't fixed when it occurred is gonna be rotted, a can of worms underneath.
Happy hunting, I hope you find what u want. 🍻

We bought a used rental car. The rental market is very meticulous about the maintence of their units.

A 2021 Thor 22E just sold at auction on Saturday at Fort Meyers. It went for 23k. It only had 53K miles on it too. I wanted it but I'm in PA and buying it sight unseen, plus the cost of going down and getting it, I decided against it. But it might have been a good deal for you guys.

Rental companies do some VERY careful calculations, and they sell off their fleet vehicles at the point (time or mileage) when the anticipated maintenance is going to start zooming. Engine compression, suspension, transmission...everything has been looked at in terms of expected failure. That's how EVERY fleet operator rotates their equipment, before it gets worn out and THEY have to do major repairs.
