I am showing a paper towel method of germinating the lychee seeds in a very simple process ,first of all place the seeds in water for 6 hours then place them on the paper towel and spray water on to it and place it inside a plastic bag and check after 5 days you will see lychee seeds are sprouting very fast

My lychee seeds sprouted in just 3 days. I followed your steps and keep it inside a plastic container. I put tissue paper at the bottom and filled with water just a few centimeters just to keep the tissue paper very soggy. I also made a little cut at the opposite end of the seed and it sprouted faster than those i left untouched.

I put lychee seeds in a glass of water & then I forgot them, after 3 weeks, they had grown already inside that glass. I was glad beyond belief.

I just stuck mine in a pot of earth. They sprouted fine.

I (feeding curiosity of my 12 year daughter) just soaked 4-5 seeds for 3 days in plain tap water and then inserted each one vertically direct in the soil...

If you plant litchi from seeds it will take several years to grow so it's always better to plant grafted ones, that bears within 3 years👍
