How To Grow Lychee Plant from Seed - Germinate Lychee Seed Successfully Every Time!

Today I’ll be showing you how to grow lychee plants from seed, its super easy and a lot of fun. There are a few tricks to growing lychees that make cultivating them more successful and I share some of these in this video.

Lychee is the name of a fruiting tree native to parts of more tropical China (the latin name is Litchi chinensis) and apparently, they have been cultivated since way back in the 11th century. Lychee fruit is very popular in South-east Asia and in more recent years has become more readily available in western countries as well. Germinating lychees from seed is generally very reliable, but you need to be patient as they can take a few years before you start harvesting fruit from them. Growing lychees in pots is an effective way to start cultivating them and this can be particularly practical for those who have a garden with limited space or even just a balcony to grow a few plants on.
