Z Car Garage is Old-School Nissan/Datsun Heaven – Right Here in California

Показать описание
This right here is the old school Nissan/Datsun dojo. Owner/operator Rob Fuller is keeping these cars alive thanks to tireless work and probably 69 million man-hours of parts hunting. Larry left his personal Z here for a real makeover, but in the meantime – he treats us to a full tour of all the eye candy that’s currently in the shop.

Rob Fullers passion is amazing, he literally lives and breathes Datsuns and Nissans, he treats customers cars as if they were his own, such greatness

By the way, if I had bought a 240Z when I was 21 and still had it, I"d be talking about it all the time too. Good on you.

I'm not a Dutsun guy...but love Datsuns...I remember stumbling into Z Car Garage as a poor college student back in 2006 looking for longer exhaust hangers for my WRX. They are SUPER NICE PEOPLE!!!....even to folks who weren't apart of their tribe. They didn't have any random exhaust hangers (thanks for taking the time to look), but I did strike up a conversation of their green sr 510 and I could tell they love what they do. I'm glad they're around and have a strong enough following to stay afloat during the pandemic

You can't hate a classic Datsun. The coolest collection I have seen so far.😁

I grew up fascinated by that Fitzgerald 280ZX and the Bob Sharp ZXs and I had all the posters on my wall. We had so many Zs in my family and unfortunately sold them off ....sad sad...but I continued and got my 86 300 ZX turbo, 370Z ...after I had a 75 280Z, 80 280ZX, 83 280ZX ....lol. My brother had a turbo 71 240 Z in 1991....my mother had an 81 280 ZX which was awesome because they bumped up the HP that year and it was a difference from the 79 and 80 gave that to my brother and continued buying Zs for a while...I can keep going. These cars were just so bullet proof and fun....and lots of history. .

That John Morton/BRE 240Z race car is such an incredible icon. Very cool to see it here.

If I ever come into enough money, I'm paying Rob a visit for sure. I was practically born in a Datsun 710, I used to spend so much time in an old wrecked 610 we had behind the house when I was a kid and my father had several 620 and 720 pick-ups as far as I can remember. Owning my own Datsun 510 or 240z has been a dream of mine but they are incredibly rare here in Canada since they were very prone to rust and Canada's weather did a number on them.

I graduated high school in Canada in 1973. I have never forgot a teacher, Miss Cook who drove a Z240. I was never in her class or even spoke to her. I thought she was the coolest human ever and after watching this video, I still do. At 65 I will be looking for a 510 04 an early Z car. #memories.

Such a rad garage! And Rob’s reaction thinking about the new Z... that’s how I feel too.

I bought a 1990 300zx from my brother when I was 17 and I’m 27 now. I will never get rid of her💯

I love the fact that he praised the Miata. I have a Datsun Roadster with a U20 engine. Fast forward, I also have a NA Miata. Both are great cars. I love Nissan and Datsun. But my Miata will always be there because of the superb engineering and reliability.

Thanks, Rob, for the nice tour, especially for the story on the BRE Z. Long live the Z.

Man I loved this episode! I bought and restored a 280z when I was 16 and still have it at 33 years old now.

Such a great Video, Larry. I have a lump in my throat, welled up eyes and a drippy nose every time I watch you filming with Rob at ZCG. Big props to you and Rob for presenting us with such an incredible display of car history and love.

Dude. If Heaven is anything like Zcar garage I’ll start going to church. Rob Fuller seems like the kind of guy who’s friends with everyone and clearly passionate with his work. Much respect and admiration to him and the team at Zcar garage. I do wish Larry reciprocated a bit more of that passion Rob is sharing. Kinda cringey at times I must be honest. But love the video!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
