I'm going to be having a crack at my own kitchen soon (keeping an eye on facebook marketplace as I'm broke) videos like this are priceless to me. I'd be happy if my work looks 1/4 as good as this. Between you and Mr Clevett I consistently wonder about a career change.

So glad I came across your videos, I have had a change of career and I’m now designing kitchens and these videos have really helped me understand the reality of the kitchens being fitted, great work thanks a lot 👍

Thanks for these videos!
Really good advice. I’m just fitting out kitchen having done the studwork with a local builder. We also put noggins up to catch the wall units, made a big difference.
Biggest issue at the moment, squaring up the tall f/f unit! You weren’t kidding lol!
Keep the videos coming mate

Good on you for calling out the gap rather than just blindly following the plan. The difference between a good tradesman and an average one.

Another fitter probably would have left the gap as it was (not my job) but to your credit you looked at it almost as if it was your own kitchen and suggested the replacement of those two units. Well done.
Nice forward thinking with the noggins

Really enjoyed these kitchen videos, thanks. Some great tips for DIYers like me re: the MDF tabs, waterproofing end panels, fridge freezer carcass, and noggins for wall units. 👌

8 minute mark, smart move with bigger unit on the 170mm gap. Soon as you said it i was plotting a tall 150mm wine rack with a 20mm fill but I liked ur idea better.

Hello - just installing a Lamona Warming Drawer and Single Oven on top into a appliance housing but I’m unclear about whether I should put something between the two to separate them ? ....or does the oven sit directly on top of the warming drawer?
Any help much appreciated.

Is it ever a good idea to cut back the uprights when they are in the path of the plinth? I was thinking that it would then allow you to have one continuous plinth

Hi mate fridge freezer housings I tend to put a shelf in up right of the base it helps keep the unit square then once I am happy with it all leval and fixed back to wall I will remove it that all makes sense ...are they crown units ?

WHICH SCREWS DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR CHIPBOARD CARCASSES?

Really useful content! As a novice, would have liked to see the end result of the repair job you did to the base of the damaged unit. Just to see whether it is worth complaining or just repairing on site.

Hi, is that fridge freezer pushed all the way to the wall or do you lave a gap

Great video. Tall man I've got a row of wall and base units, on the end is a ladder unit. They say start in the corner so if i follow the plan from wren the measurements for wall and base units by the time i get to my ladder uint the last wall unit and last base unit should be plumb ready for side decor panle and ladder unit, is this correct tall man. Or should i start from the end ladder until because there is a intentional gap for base and wall units in the corner so they could end up being a mill or two different from plans any thoughts from a pro would be grateful tall man.

Obviously you have the benefit of nice vertical walls. Have you got any tips for when the walls are not?

Hello,
About the cracking of the base plate, is there any particular reason for screwing the base between the sides? I see this technique on many big furniture manufacturers, but I cannot find a logical reason for it.
I work as a semi-professional custom furniture builder in eastern Europe, and I always put the sides on the base, as the weight is better distributed and the overall strength of the cabinet is better. I only use the base between the sides on the upper cabinets.

These videos are great Thank you.

May I ask, would you install a tower end panel with the factory finish at the bottom or the top if the other side was cut?

Hi, great video. How do you go about fixing the tall units to the wall if they have a back panel? Great video - really helpful and shows your skills!
