I’m from Alabama and I’ve traveled across this great country with my black wife, I’ve never been treated worse than when I lived in liberal states… point blank we were shunned for being a mixed race couple

My grandfather grew up in Selma Alabama Dallas county, Sardis during the Great Depression as a sharecropper. He picked the same crops as Black Americans did. Ate at the same table, drank from the same well and prayed to the same God. The division is caused by politicians spreading fear and hate .

Some people are mature enough to say "some bad stuff happened but things were corrected so lets move on and build a better future", some are immature and want to cling to old wrongs that are now ancient history as though they're suffering them today and as if they, who never experienced it, deserve compensation from those who never participated in it. I'm sick of those crybabies and I love Jesse Lee Peterson and those who believe as he does. Jesse is a good man.

People always wanted to be amongst their own before segregation. Nothing wrong with that.

Thank you. He lived it. The guilt that has been put upon us is ridiculous.

It doesn't matter who is "lying" or not but I'd rather take the word of an older black person who actually lived back then rather than a white guy who didn't even exist as a thought. People are already trying to rewrite history and it's despicable on so many levels.

He can’t comprehend a world not depicted in shitty 80s and 90s movies.

I understand Jesse not wanting to be a victim but there's no point in denying history
