Don’t forget that Mitch is an authentic countertenor! Those high tessitura lines are a piece of cake for him! Kirstie (rhymes with Thirs-ty, by the way), is fire on this! The Aeolian cadence at the end is what got this old composer-pianist off guard... sooo beautiful!

They did layered themselves that’s why it’s so much fuller in the arrangement. Most of their pieces don’t layer much, but tbh I’m happy they do in this one. The rich and full sound makes this song one of my favourite one from them <3

I disagree that Mitch sings in Falsetto - He is a superb Countertenor. He has way more control than one singing falsetto.

Saw a interview with Ben Bram that said layering is in their future. I think this is layered. BUT, it is just as fantastic live without layering. I was fortunate enough to be there.

Their arrangements are just masterful, and they swung for the fences with this one. If you want a simple, pure recent a cappella arrangement, listen to a live version of them singing ‘I Just Called to Say I love You’ or ‘My Heart With You’.
