What is it that you need to know how frequently to clean?

My personal tips for anyone reading is to not forget to also clean behind the stove and behind the fridge about every 3 months. A lot of dust and crumbs accumulate back there. Another thing is to remember to clean your fridges vent and coils often to keep your fridge running for many years ☺️

@cleanmyspace, the best video ever.
Need to know!
Air conditioner / heater vents
Air purifyer
Water Filter
Humidifier
Vaporizer
De-humidifier
You see where I'm going with this?
Vent over stove
Behind and under fridge
Kitchen Drains
Bathroom Drains

(Who knew I had so many of these that i was interested in? YOU DID! That is why you are creating this series!) THank YOU!

1. You look gorgeous
2. Cleaning a sponge in the dishwasher is a great idea because the salts in the dishwasher detergent kill off bacteria very thoroughly. On that front it beats the microwave method by far
3. I recently found a "hack" where they recommended cleaning the oven racks using coffee. Have you tried that? In the video it looked impressively effective, but if course it would and I haven't gotten around to try it myself yet.

Thank you so much for your videos, they have been truly life changing for me

I'm really excited about this new series! I'm newly married and still figuring out how to take care of my new house. 😊 I'm curious about how often to clean the washer and dryer, mattress, and dirty laundry hampers. I love your channel - I've learned so much and always get inspired to clean/organize/dejunk after watching your movies!

Really looking forward to this series. The past few weeks I feel like I've been overcleaning... everything. But I'm trying to stay on top of things as much as possible.

First of all, I can't believe I am watching a you tube channel on cleaning!! I want to give everyone a hack when it comes to sponges, at the end of the evening when I am done cleaning the kitchen, I rinse my sponge then squirt a line of antibacterial hand soap down the center. I then would add a bit if water and lather is up. Then I LEAVE IT! I take medicine that suppresses my immune system, so I am serious about germs! And this works. I also have several scrub brushes. Using these make my sponges last longer. And, lastly, I put my sponge in the microwave once a week to "nuke" out any germs that may even think about showing up! I also keep paper towels in my bathrooms so I don't reuse a towel over and over again. This saves me from using antibacterial liquid that ruins your nails!

Can you do a bathroom and bedroom one?
As a new homeowner I am still getting to grips with cleaning and organising and your channel has been a life saving.

I just came across your videos recently and I'm a bit obsessed. I was wondering though if you've seen the new study that was reported by the New York Times on how washing and microwaving your sponges can actually cause some bacteria to grow even more. They said the best things to do are either throw them out and replace them frequently or if you really want to repurpose them then you should wash them in the washing machine and then use them in the bathroom or for other similar situations.

I just want to know your weekly/monthly cleaning routines. Do you have a schedule you follow?

You may want to look up about the new studies about cleaning our sponges other than normal soap and water. They are saying that the newer recommendations are causing super bugs on our sponges. I think the can opener would be a good area to discuss cleaning.

I'm looking forward to more videos in this series!  How often should we clean the bottoms of our shoes & how should we do it?  I recently was at a festival and had to use the outhouse (yuck!) and now don't want the shoes in my house!  LOL  What is the best way to disinfect and should we be cleaning the bottoms of our shoes regularly?

I have cleaned homes for years now and have a few tips! I like to use the small square white cotton auto cleaning cloths to get a gentle scrub on surfaces. I have LOTS so that I can toss it into a spare bucket for the wash (bleachable) and never reuse it after it is used in a bacteria situation. I do not like to use the multi coloured (very inexpensive) micro fibre cloths that seem to just push the dirt around. (just like sponge mops) I also purshase a packages of scrubby sponges that includes colour choices. Mine are a white, a blue and a green small rectangle pad. I keep the white ones for stove tops, counter tops and sinks, the blue one for bathtubs?showers and the green for toilets. I wash them in small lingerie bags so they don't cling to other items.

I thank Clean My Space for many helpful tips especially dangling the toilet brush under the seat to dry after use trick! Can you imagine how many filthy brush stands I have cleaned over the past 30 years!! Then there are the plungers!! My idea is to purchase a flower pot that has an attatched drain plate to place that stinker in!!! (;

Hi Melissa! I live in Australia and I LOVE your videos, you have taught me how to clean pretty much, everything! I use your cleaning routines and DIY cleaning products all the time. Essential oils are pretty much my best friends, especially eucalyptus oil! I just read your book on my Kindle, it is my new favourite book and it is so handy to refer back to it for different cleaning tips & techniques. I love you & both of your channels so much, you are my favourite YouTuber! I would love it if you could reply to this comment, you are so inspirational to me and beautiful inside and out!
Big hugs from South Australia!

Great vid! a small tip from a cloth diaperer: when washing cleaning cloths dont use fabric softener. it rouins the fabric's ability to absorbe floids well.

I finally got it done last week over several hours. Now I just needed to find out how often to clean it in order to maintain it. This will really help me as I'm updgradung my cleaning routine
