Well done for doing this ! Before I started my YT I did a IGTV about my experience with my colposcopy . Very important to speak about, girls book your smear the NHS is still open the nurses are lovely and it’s a life saving procedure ♥️♥️

I had a colposcopy with biopsy and ectropion burnt away from my cervix yesterday with no numbing and I didn’t feel the clipping just a small amount of heat from the burning. I do have a high pain threshold though.
There’s not much about it on you tube from a personal perspective so well done for highlighting it.

This video is so helpful! I’m waiting to hear back about an urgent referral and assume that I’ll be having a colposcopy and biopsy. Not sure how I’ll react to the pain! But mostly I just want to get it on with.

Found this in 12days before my colposcopy i recieved a low grade cell change and high risk hpv 2 days after the smear results i got the colposcopy appointment im pretty anxious about it totally unsure whats gonna happen
And how things are once the healing is done
Im hoping my period is away im on thr implant and they come and go as they please

Hi Amy, i found your video this morning as i was having a colposcopy this afternoon. I have to say, the procedure was awful. I found it to be very painful, i have had gynea problems for years, always in pain. I am going back for biopsys under sedation, i had a panic attack when the doctor mentioned biopsy. My last smear 2 and a half years ago was fine, i had to have a colposcopy for bleeding after intercourse. They found abnormal cells today. Your video was really helpful, i was more prepared mentally for the appt today, so thank you so much xx

I’m having this today for an inconclusive pap on the 8th HPV diagnosis in 2019. I’m scared to death. I’m going to take a 800 ibuprofen and two staggered Xanax before. I have high anxiety and very very low pain tolerance. I’m nearly 50 and my Dr said we should just have a hysterectomy due to my mother dying in 2007 from cervical squamous cell
