this SOUND amazing. But as a senior software developer I can tell you: Coding-wise it can only do what has been done thousands of times before. It can't innovate on algorithms, it can't create new algorithms, and it can plan ahead.

Sometimes, programmers avoid using certain features of a language because of known bugs in specific implementations that have memory leaks or cause crashes. I supposed such restrictions could be specified to the A.I so that it knows not to use certain features in some implementation.

I suspect there will be within 2 years very powerful variants of chatbots getting pre-installed in most PCs, even those that lack GPUs, as a major selling point, which we don't even need to be online for it to work (near) perfectly. There are many benefits to having a PC version, especially to keep our work protected much as possible.

Auto prompt seems dangerous as it can create exponential growth in AI capability. It has been already discussed by the AI experts years ago that AI improving AI can create super-intelligence. I hope it is not as dramatic as this.

One thing people should stop doing is to call the model ChatGPT!
ChatGPT is the web application that give access to the models (GPT3-5-turbo and GPT-4 if you have ChatGPT Plus subscription).
AutoGPT is making use of the GPT model (3.5 or 4) same as ChatGPT. Just that AutoGPT is a totally different application than ChatGPT with different goal and user base (for now).
This is an important différenciation that none of all those new AI YouTuber expert don’t explain to their viewers!
ChatGPT is not the AI model just one application providing a UI to do stuff with the AI model. Other applications using that same model exist and might use these models differently, eventually giving them access to internet like Bing Chat does.

It's absolutely insane to a novice like me that were on an exponential rise in speed towards reaching agi given how intricate the coding is. It's so easy to forget that this is like blacksmithing in many ways, you start with two rocks and a hot bloom of iron, then you work your way towards making a hammer, another hammer, a pair of tongs, cutting tools and eventually an anvil. It's so easy to forged that you use new tools to build upon preexisting architecture and that those tools get better every time.

Lets GOOO! Alex, there is an important issue with GPT 3.5 -> GPT 4 and is related to the need of training data. We eventually will ran out of it let say for programming. This will cause that the AI will train in AI created code becoming an eco chamber, please go more technical in a future video ;)
