it's very blurry in vr, but dammit it's very fun and addictive.

From what I can see on the screen the game does not make perfect use of foveated rendering. So I guess a patch could improve the resolution of the areas you are looking at quite a lot.

Its only 50% of the way there graphically, with the eye/tracking and foveated rendering working it should look very close to high end pcvr, but then that is why the psvr2 has that tech onboard, the devs need to release a fidelity patch to bring it up to speed graphically.

I'm sure there will be a graphics patch or update coming along soon fir psvr2

NMS in VR is the chillest experience you can have. No pressure, just have fun at your own pace. I like that.

I just wish I could use the thrust master hotas with it. I think the flying is kinda wonky since your arms kinda float

Will wait for an actual PSVR2 patch. All they did so far was make the PSVR1 version playable with 2.

Performance over resolution any day. ESPECIALLY on VR. Both issues can be worked on after launch, but only one really kills a game. I look forward to playing it!

Took a while, a few hours in fact, but once you accept it for its lower res, its as fun as any version, and the haptics are very nice. Cheers yall.

The low resolution and blur is a problem with the game not psvr2. Re8 is super clear and sharp. Seems a lot of devs can't figure out how to use the provided rendering

It needs better resolution, better text adjustment and a flightstick for the cockpit then it will be perfect.

This video is spot on in terms of technical performance of NMS VR on PS5 vs PC. It's been so frustrating that Hello Games can't find a way to optimize NMS PCVR. I preferred to play NMS on PS4 with PSVR1 over the PC version because at least it played back smoothly. I was surprised that PSVR2 with PS5 NMS is only a little bit more clear, but again it runs like a dream compared to my PC version. Oh well! I'm just glad we have a way to paly NSM VR in a way that performs.

It has potential. Flying is awesome. The blurry planets take me out of it, though.

I always play full body I just don't go walking out of my body and reset camera when sit down to use a vehicle

I do feel it could do with some improvements though the ps5 and psvr 2 are definitely more capable than this i feel like we got the psvr 1 settings by mistake

As someone whos been playing on switch (because i like to sit outside on my porch and get high) resolution doesnt matter to me. As long as i can have a steady 60 fps

The menu system that you access via your left glove is definitely for the PSVR2. That menu is high res and looks amazing close up. It's the planets surface that is low res.

I don't know if it's No mans sky or just the PSVR2 but I actually haven't gotten motion sick at all playing no mans sky and I've been playing the game for 3 hours straight. Actually it's my first time playing it but I haven't had this much fun in VR for years

i was really considerung buying a PS5+PSVR2 just for No Man's Sky VR. I am playing NMS in VR on PC since early 2022 and i am 1300 hours in and on my systems it took me quite a while to find a configuration which gave me a satisfying experience. Although i still have to make compromises here and there. The fastest system i have is a Ryzen 9 3900X with a RTX 3070/8Gb and even on this system can cannot reach native 72Hz and that is mainly because of the CPU and not the GPU (graphics card). So i am using Virtual Desktop playing wireless and SSW switched on, which allows me to play at 72 or 90Hz with only half of the frames actually being rendered. I can set graphics quality to ENHANCED but i have to use DLSS Balanced or Performance. I have set the render resolution of the headset to the highest possible on my Pico 4 (= 3120 x 3120 Pixels per Eye) so even DLSS Performance looks decent and sharp enough. The hardest part in terms of rendering is flying over a planets surface and turning around. This always causes stutters, no matter what settings i use. Nevertheless, it works most of the time and even on my RTX 3070Laptop it's okay. In fact the RTX 3060/12Gb has some advantages here, because of the higher VRAM buffer. I can set texture quality to Ultra on my RTX 3060 system. I really hope Hello Games can optimize NMS for PSVR2 to get close to a good PCVR experience.

Heard this is the exact version as the ps4 pro vr version . So if true there is potential to up the resolution big time
