I respect the author of House of Bane & Blood so much for not going the traditional publishing route so her readers wouldn’t have to wait. It’s been a major source of irritation for me. Like, I’m glad you got a publishing deal you wanted, but also the next book was supposed to come out in like a month, and now you’re telling me I have to wait at least a year? It’s honestly made me not want to read indie series that aren’t already done. Lol
