I went to the Dollar store yesterday what used to cost me $30 cost me $54.
The quarter really does make a difference.
Along with not everything costing just a dollar $1.25

It is no joke. I used to go to the dollar store often. Now I barely go. I think that extra money could go to gas or food or I might need it for a utility bill. No more little splurges. 😢

My dinner last night was a dented can of green beans and a onion got from food pantry. I am grateful for the pantry but honestly what you get don't last e days and you can't make 1 compleat meal from what you get. It's sad I am 68 with alot of health problems including cancer. My income is a few dollars to much to get debt and no Medicaid only Medicare so my medical bills are alot and high eating up 45% of my monthly income.. all my retirement savings are gone after 10 years of constant medical problems my home, life, car and health insurance premiums totals to over 500 a month. Utilities are outrageous especially the water sewer bill. So on and on but I am grateful I have a roof over my head, I stay warm or cool being carefull not to set the thermostat to high or low, keeping everything turned off so my bills stay low. I learned how to cut my own hair, I shop 2nd hand for shoes and clothing. My food budget fir a month is $120.00 and after that there is nothing left. So to sum it up I have worked hard all my life and destroyed my health doing it to live this way. I love my country but our politicians has ruined our country but I figured out the easiest way to get government help is to move overseas where they are sending all our taxpayers money to lol. Things are bad. Things are wrong and how us seniors and poor are abused and neglected by our government. My children would help but they are fighting to stay above water and they all have good jobs and pay but raising a family is expensive and they have cut back on everything they can. The wealth gap can not be fixed there is no money anywhere to fix it except the wealthy and do you think they will come off a dime. Oh sure they donate but the money stays at the top and only about 10% is actually realized well thank you I could go on but you get the pitcher and thank you for allowing me to say my peace and 2 cents worth which is all I can afford. God bless us all we need it

It's amazing that companies are treating customers so well by discounts but they can't do the same nice things to their employees

People just come in and steal things. The cashier got on overhead and say put it back and the police are called. He ignored them grabbed some other items and walked out of the store.

I am a senior living alone on a fixed income we have to ration food as it is run out of food end of each month as it is thank god friends help each other and food iis very important and vitamins the correct the proper food is your true medicine worshipping god is your true medicine the hand of God heals in a way man never can so people better put god first then all we need will b brought to us this is just rhe beginning of mans downfall everytime i run out god provides but i appreciate your intelligence

I think Dollar Tree and Family Dollar are almost bankrupt. They opened a new store in the small town that I live in early this year. It sat for months closed because it couldn't pass inspection, and now it looks like a jungle around it because they haven't gotten the grass mowed once this whole summer.

I walked out empty handed today from a Safeway in Western WA after trying to buy my cats their favorite wet food. The only box available has recently jumped in price to $1.25/serving. I usually buy the bigger box that is less than $1/serving, but it is no longer shelved at my store, so I left. I'm going to rehome my cats, as I can no longer afford to feed them or pay any medical bills.

Cuz it's not only a dollar store no more you can get the same stuff there at that dollar store some of it is more expensive than going to Walmart so why do they call them Dollar General Family Dollar when there's nothing a dollar in the store

Talking to friends, relatives and coworkers reveals that people are cutting their spending habits.. At my household, we cut our spending as much as 25% across the board and that includes name brand grocery items. Meats are very expensive and we are cosuming more chicken than we are meats especially beef which has tripled in cost.
