Needless to say, Fran Lebowitz has something to say about almost everything. Want opinions on corporate culture and Fruit Ninja? She's got them. We also met up with politician Ritchie Torres back where it all began for him in the South Bronx. "Here Comes The Sun" is a closer look at some of the people, places and things we bring you every week on "CBS Sunday Morning."

Cutting off Fran at the end mid sentence is a sin

I watched for Fran, love that woman, but Congressman Torres hit the nail right on the head for me, you get absolutely nothing being a caretaker for elderly parents, no help, no time off, no tax breaks, struggles with costs, and many others. Comparing childcare with elderly care, it’s almost the same, with the exception of dementia. Dementia care is a total nightmare, 24/7 on guard, everything has to be locked, nothing makes any sense, exhausting! There really should be some kind help for people who have to take on elderly care, it is difficult.

I came to this video to hear Fran but came away from it much more impressed by Ritchie Torres.
It is always heartening to hear someone like him who can make a valuable contribution to those who need his help. Who need our help.

Best 23 minutes and 37 seconds I've spent in a long while. Fantastic.

Thank you Mo Rocca for leading Fran to talk about the realities of our LGBTQ history.

New format is disjointed, like an ADD patient. Show the entire interview, don’t interrupt with another story.

There is no one better than Fran Lebowitz to tell the absolute 100 percent unvarnished truth. It is such breath of fresh air. And yes, smoking is an addiction. It was such an ordeal for me to stop -- and I had been smoking with parental permission from the age of 13 -- long before the "Hazardous to your Health" warning. I don't think I could ever quit again. What a nightmare. Fran likes to smoke -- live and let live! Everyone has the right to make their own choices.

Where’s the FULL INTERVIEW! This is cut off by CBS, wtf

Mr. Torres reminds me of the fact that we still Do Not have a adequate federal minimum wage law!... despite having Two Democratic administrations... this causes the homelessness that we see around the country. I love Fran Leibowitz, been watching her since the 70's... it's a shame that CBS cut her off at the end of the interview here.

If I had been Fran's agent I would have bought her a tape recorder and had her just record conversations for more books. It must've been fun to have her as a dinner guest or friend.

Fran gave a pretty good description of 1950s mothers in middle America. I grew up in a similar suburb outside a big city, as did she. And she's right that AIDS & Covid are not alike in the impact they have had on individuals and society as a whole.

Fran and Richie are truly two of America’s shinning stars. Fran’s life’s work and commentaries are timeless. I hope Richie runs for president some day. He’s a great speaker with great ideas and the empathy that voters often demand from their elected officials.

Watching the Ritchie Torres segment gave me something that I haven't had. I took care of my father and then my mother for 25 years as they became ill and infirmed. Some of my family and my parents friends who would eventually turn away from them, would like to call me a freeloader while they acknowledge my sacrifice. But, what they never seemed to understand was the sadness. Mr. Torres understands that; I saw him cry and I know he understands what it is like not to be able to turn away and simply immerse yourself in distractions. Being a captive witness to the destruction of your loved ones is one of the saddest things there is in life.

I saw Fran in Arkansas-of all places! I felt like I checked something off my “bucket list” without ever actually making a bucket list!😂

If I had the opportunity to see her again, there is no doubt that I’d be there-front and center!😊

Lousy coverage of the Lebowitz interview. Why break it up into parts and cuts off half her comments?
