you father's advice is perfect. You can use a torque wrench, but often there's not enough working room down there to use it right

This man could enter the oil filling Olympics. He just tossed that oil in there.

You’ve taught me more than my dad ever taught me about cars. Thank you Scott.

you should put the gasket material around the inside edge of the bolt hole not the outside. if you put it around the outside you can get leaks through the bolt hole.

different vehicles use different gaskets and or sealers. But permatex "the right stuff" works on all cars

just get the correct size oil filter removing tool for your car, places like auto zone sell em. If you crush the old one, hammer a large screwdriver into it to loosen it off. And always use a new seal washer on the drain plug to prevent leaks

(continued) radiator flush and labor plus ignition coil and crak sensor. I will look for another place to see what's involved so there is absolutely no leaks, and see also why there is a slight annoying rattle coming from drivers side of engine, whether it's on the top or bottom. Very hard today to find honest mechanics. You are honest, and everyone like myself who gets advice from you are GRATEFUL. Thank you again.

give it a try, of course depends on the vehicle, if it's a toyota, they often go even further

blue smoke is a combo of burning metal and burning oil. Valve stems often do that on that model, live with that.

try AT 205 reseal, amazon sells it, it's a liquid that can fix rear main seal oil leaks.

Scotty, I've watched a lot of your videos. They're all great. Clear, concise information that everybody can understand. Easy to follow instructions, peppered with helpful tips, and to top if off you keep it funny, interesting and PG 13 so I don't have to put on me earphones. Thank you

Scotty, just had my 420a Eclipse built. JE 8:8 Pistons, Eagle Rods, ACL Race Bearings, Cometic Head Gasket, ARP Headstuds. It's leaking oil, not burning oil. It lost all oil at 1500 miles after my 2nd oil change. I surfaced the block and head. The ARP Studs eliminated the leaky head gasket problem... Oil slowly drips like a water faucet off the end of the oil filter, but it's coming from above it.
People say a 420a isn't worth it, but with enough money, it's can be a great.

the transmission cooler is built into the bottom of the radiator, that's why. And check the dent to see if it leaks there by cleaning it off and running the car and watching it a few minutes

green is coolant, leaking heater cores do that as the heater core is inside the dash.

@X2N18 depends on the design. I personally use the right stuff by permatex like in this video, it seals leaks a LONG time. Scotty
