One of the many #1 hits of Michael Jackson's "Bad" album is "Dirty Diana". "Dirty Diana" came out on April 18, 1988 and it happens to be the very first vinyl I ever bought! So, a good reason to make a vlog about it ;-)

Enjoy and thanks for watching!

Michael wrote in his book that it was too late to put back Dirty Diana to the concert . So no, he couldn’t sing it at the end, eventhough Princess Diana said she wouldn’t mind it.

I still think it’s about Diana. It’s even sound like he’s saying Ross

He eventually sang Dirty Diana in his Wembley concert as requested by the Lady Diana but you will notice that Michael is mumbling or changing some of the words. He must've been really embarassed because some might thought it was her.

I still have all those original vinyl 12’inch albums unopened and sealed in the original packaging along with the Another Part of Me album all in untouched mint condition. I also have every Thriller and Bad 45 vinyl in mint condition. All 1983/84 - 1987/88 original. Good stuff

In a TV interview, the producer of this song Quincy Jones was asked by Mary J Blige who was MJ talking about in Dirty Diana, and Quincy said: "I thought it was about Diana Ross, like everyone else."

Quincy himself was aware that everyone thought it was about her and he didn't object to this assumption, so I'm guessing that it's true.

I always did believe and always will believe this is Michael's way of expressing himself where Diana Ross was concerned . He later said she played him dirty . VDH

My most favorite song from the album.

4:41 to 4:52 Is that a trademark guitar riff used in Michael Jackson's rock songs?

You also hear it in Beat It. And you hear a similar riff at the end of They Don't Care About Us.

Also 3:15 to 3:17 Carlos Santana's famous riff
