You might be surprised at all the steps you can take in your office to support the environment. From printing double-sided pages to getting office recycling bins, reducing waste is the number one goal for green living in the workplace. Finding reusable items to take the place of single-use supplies and containers will also help you and your company reach that goal. And finally, why not let technology work for you? A virtual meeting wastes very little time, money and precious resources compared to lengthy business trips. A bit of office organization and planning go a long way.

Just another day at the office. Welcome to our workplace edition of Eco Tips. The big things to focus on here are minimizing waste—like printing double-sided, setting up recycling and getting composting bins—and reducing junk mail by contacting the Direct Marketing Association.

Bring your lunch to work in reusable containers and carry a reusable water bottle and/or coffee mug.

If you're in charge of supplies, try to stock reusable items instead of throwaways.

There's nothing better than face-to-face meetings, so choose video conferencing or even good old Skype instead of travelling by car or plane to other offices.
