I'm with some of the others here as far as comments on masks. The ability to take one mask and add it to another, combine masks or make a mask a selection and then paint on another mask using that first mask as a selection would be awesome. The color correction tools in Capture One are already awesome. And the masking is pretty decent. But color correcting a photo is very often all about masking and the more powerful you can make masking tools within Capture One, the less often we'll have to resort to taking our photos into Photoshop at the end to touch things up. I love the software, so don't get me wrong. Just nudging for more more more. ;-) Anyway. Thanks for the nice video, as always.

I think what Jeff meant was subtracting the "dog only" mask from the "bright spot" mask. I also think this would be a nice functionality for future versions! Some people might not see the use of it at first glance, but others do and I also sometimes wish it was possible. In this case, the dog would not be affected by the adjustments going on on that "bright spot" mask.
I also wish we were able to kind of "pull" a mask back from edges in just one direction - not only blurring it as feather mask does. This example shows perfectly why there's a need for it: If you created a mask to sharpen, copied and inverted it on another layer in order to use it for softening / noise reduction of the background, guess what - the edge detail will also get soft again! That's the point in editing when I have to zoom in to 400% and erase a small margin of my denoise mask around my birds in order to retain all the fine feather detail on the edge. Now imagine having just one slider that allows to pull the mask away from the bird to a certain radius. You guys really should implement something like this in the future!

The new clone/heal tools has greatly helped my limited layer problems. If we can merge layers I'd be over the moon.

Hello.
Layers-related question:
Import files, edit them with layers, close CaptureOne, open it again. Some files fires message: "An adjustment mask for an image is missing".
Layers themselve are still in place, but masks are empty (also .comask file is for about 3kb instead of 1-3mb for "normal" file).
I opened two support cases for this problem: #35713 and #42114 for 13.0 and 13.1 accordingly, but still no success.
Any comments?
