I’ve had it for a couple of trips. My report:
1. It’s waterproof. Had it in an all-night, spring rain in Alabama. Not a drop came in.
2. When setting up, stake out opposite corners of the bathtub floor first for a tighter floor.

I recently used this tent for a week long hike on the AT. It worked very well but needs a ton of stakes. Used those same Cascade Mountain trekking poles too.

Just ordered the tent for my upcoming trip. Can't wait 😊

Wish some vid would show a set-up with sticks which are everywhere where I roam, making trekking poles silly.

Setting up in the rain it seems the inside would be a puddle by the time the fly was secure but using just the bug net on a starry night would be awesome

Just bought this and noticed there is NO strengthening where the guy lines attach to the flysheet. In the wind, the attachment is just going to tear off. I will probably strengthen each of the points in advance but it's very poor to see that the this tent has apparently been made for zero wind.

Excellent review. I have an almost identical tent that is named "Axeman" (bought on Aliexpress) and it's interesting to see the slight differences between the two brands. Mine has a flap over the zipper, but it seems to have a bigger gap between the ground and the flysheet, so it's quite breezy inside.

The vestibules are 'flappy' because you extended your poles too far. I had to set mine up a couple times in the yard to figure that out. I kick the poles out a little (as you did), and 131 cm works perfect for me. Looks like you may have ditched the loops that were knotted into the four corners of the bathtub. (It's hard to tell from the angle of the video.) Any specific reason for that?

Also - someone commented that the tent would be soaked if setup in the rain. For their information, there are little plastic hooks and loops (Lanshan style) that connect the inner to the outer. If you leave those connected, the outer and inner would go up together, and in a rain situation, keep the inner completely dry.

All-in-all, I bought mine as a replacement for my Lanshan1. I liked the GeerTop's dual doors on the inner, and dual vestibules on the outer. Also like the fact that you can actually get the mesh tight so it doesn't hang in your face like the Lanshan1 does.

Great review. I really like that you took a tape measure and showed actual dimensions. None of the other reviews showed that! I'm thinking of buying it but I'm worried it wont fit my 6'1", 200 lb frame. Would you recommend it to people around my height & weight?

Do you know the weight of each stake? Or The total weight of all of the stakes?

Did you have room for your pack in the vestibule?
