How do you accidentally get eaten by pigs? If they have an owner than that owner should face some responsibility.

I have told people for years, a pig will eat you, and nobody believes me.

When my mom was little they had pigs. They are mean, vicious animals. It was here task to feed them. She was knocked down and they started attacking her. She screamed and her dad came running and saved her. That week they became ham and bacon.

The owners are responsible because, they allowed Dangerous Animals to roam at large, if a pack of Pit Bull dpgs had done this...the owners would be in jail.

The result would likely have been the same for a small child…this was possibly negligence, and not an accident. If you let a dangerous ‘pet’ loose, are you not liable for what happens?

People forget that wild AND domestic pigs can be incredibly dangerous animals, ever wonder why everyone flipped out and rushed to get Dorothy out of the pig pen in the wizard of oz? Anyone who’s been around them knows how dangerous they can be.

Modern City type folks DONT GET IT. Hogs are a farm animal but can be nasty, aggressive n dangerous. Enjoy your bacon n ham but start to appreciate Your Farmers MORE.

How is a neighbor on what is clearly a suburban street allowed to raise pigs?

Many years ago when I was around 4-5 years old my parents had pigs. We were always taught if a pig got out (these were large size pigs) to run up the stairs (house had about 10 stairs) or climb a tree, climb anything you could reach because as small children just running wasn't going to save you. Pigs will eat anything even each other. If there is a sick weak pig, the others will kill and eat it. These weren't starving pigs, they were always fed. Farms aren't great habitats for pigs.

Pet pig owner of two rescues. They are the sweetest and smartest creatures on the face of the globe, and I've had them for years. But if you lay down, fall asleep, faint, pass out, or anything like that, they will inspect your body for food, biting you all over, tossing you around, horrifically, and even eating you. It's just their nature. You have to be careful with pigs, but you are, they are such fun pets! The owner of the pigs knows that. Sad story.

That's what Hog Wire fencing is made for. Trench it in and keep it maintained. They will eat everything you feed them and everything else that falls in. Snakes, birds, squirrels, cats, is game to them. If you have dogs roaming wild that are nowhere near as predatory as pigs and they attack....you are held criminally liable. Same here. Hence the reason you fence and maintain. Obviously someone thought that giving pet names to pigs changed this whole scenario

My great-great grandfather was eaten by wild pigs in Kentucky, after he was murdered by robbers.
