What do teachers need to know about the recent spate of pupil protests?

Twinkl Digest explains why pupils have been protesting recently, (uniform rules and toilet issues) and how they've used social media and VSPs to plan protests.

How have schools been responding to the protests (some have needed police intervention, others have issued consequences, some have contacted parents etc.) and some advice for teachers on how to encourage more constructive expression of concerns.

I remember my sister showing me a tiktok about a protest. I think people got suspended due to protesting.

School sucks because of homework
Homework in the past was a punishment and now is mandatory

School is children labour we pupils are forced to work and don’t have pay
We work 5 days a week and for 6 hour or more and we don’t get paid
