Hi great sound man. I've recently placed the order of b&w cm9s, cmc2, ds3s and planning to get Emotiva Xpa 5. Ds3's are rated for maximum of 100watts. Would Emotiva with its 200w per channel blow them off? Also I heard emotivas are bright sonically so cm series is warm would that be a wrong decision to get the XPA 5? Any suggestion would be more than appreciated. Thanks.

How do those speakers sound with movies? Are you using a center channel or is that straight stereo?

If you go to the Emotiva website they have different amps for different wattage of speakers. If your speakers are only 100 wpc, then I imagine a 200 wpc amp is too much for them. Emotiva has the amps that will be fine with your speakers. You can also talk to their tech advisors for more advice. You can't go wrong with Emotiva! Good luck!

What are use useing to run the amp to the receiver too.RCA or XLR cable's.

The XPA-5 will be fine with the DS3's. I run the XPA-5 with a set of JBL NSP-1s.

Hola Erick saludos la verdad si veo que tu set es genial pues tengo un par de Jbl l890 y esta trabajando con un denon 3313 que no es lo mejor para estereo me encanta la musica home theater no es mi fuerte pero me gusta las peliculas gracias por responder saludos!
