I just bought a pre-owned pair of these Bowers and Wilkins CM10 S2 piano gloss speakers that are in fantastic shape. Practically looks like they just came out of the box except for there was no mid-range Drive clamp attached to the back which is supposed to be used during Transit. As far as I know I am the second owner and I hope my mid range Drive Unit is not damaged because I handled them with baby gloves when moving them from the store that was about 20 mi away from my home to my home and I had no idea what this round silver thing was on the back until I looked it up and realized that there were no clamps holding the mid-range driver in place so they can be the coupled from the speaker and I hopefully did not damage them or they have not been damaged. I recently brought them home and haven't had a chance to set everything up because basically I'm moving in about 20 days so no point in sitting them up at this point but at the second hand shop where I purchase these speakers I could not really turn them up and get them going but they sounded very transparent and very clean and tight and the best possible two songs for me to audition a pair of speakers are Supertramp School and Supertramp Bloody Well Right and they sounded pretty good but it wasn't until after I got them home and researched with the little silver theme behind the speaker was on the back was used for and I hope I did not damage or the mid-range unit has not been damaged because they obviously have been transported without the transport clip. Wish me luck!

I have 684S1 with rotel RA 1570 and am looking for a good power amp to run just the 684S1- Would you recommend the Emotiva over another Rotel Power amp?

Did you replace the ML Theos with these?  Can you share info.  I am looking at a set of Theos speakers but still open to other options.

It would be nice to see and hear your TT in action. Is a Pro-Ject?

I think Onkyo is powerfull enough to drive these speakers on BiAmp. I have same and it is more than enough.

I also have the B&W CM-10's, and I had the tweeter cover off. One time dusting them, I bumped the diaphragm so slightly with my finger that I didn't even FEEL it, however, it dimpled it in. $285 later from B&W I installed a new tweeter, and put the covers back on. I can't tell the difference from off to on. My advice is leave them on, the tweeter diaphragms are so fragile it's not worth it to leave them off.
