He writes a song to honor the tragic death of his son. and his career takes him to the rock and roll hall and he preforms at his induction. this had me crying just like it does every time. also i heard he has retired it from his set list. i guess its to hard to play al the time

It looks as though Paul Schaffer (the keyboardist and bandleader of David Letterman's house band for his Late Show -- "The World's Most Dangerous Band") -- is playing here along with other members of that band: Sid McGinnis on guitar, Anton Fig on drums (who has also played with Joe Bonamassa on tour, as one of the two drummers on stage), and Will Lee on bass. Paul has had a long career, playing for Dave for many years, and for the R&R Hall of Fame, SNL, and the Kennedy Center awards shows, among many other gigs. Much love to EC, too, for writing and performing such a memorable song. I hope he has found peace.
