NewJeans and ILLIT are different from each other for sure. One of them is wearing jellies and has drawings of horses in each one of her Lisa Frank folders. The other has a Razr phone and a matching Juicy Couture tracksuit. They are both in the same classroom, but they are NOT sitting at the same lunchtable.

I’d say that their concepts are different and songs but the way their videos and cinematography are filmed are similar which gives off the same vibe if y’all get what I mean. Plus they both debuted with long black healthy hair. But we haven’t seen much from illit yet so let’s wait and see before judging.

Their overall image and music is like this: New Jeans are like those cool sisters in tight shirt, loose jeans and black converse, listening to her ipod while chewing gum. I feel like the only similar thing between Illit and New Jeans are their voice tone, nothing else. As someone who is also into anime I have to say that Illit does have alot of japanese/anime inspiration, from the sound of their music to their stage clothes, is very citypop and more on a "kawaiicore" side let's say it, while NJ is more on a cool side, I don't know how to explain It but they aren't that similar to be saying that Illit copied NJ

i feel like newjeans and illit are rlly different, maybe only their "natural" vibe is similar. newjeans is y2k, teen, 2000's core with like everything kind of imperfect which makes it perfect (if that makes sense). illit is a dreamish, more towards like super girlish, everything perfect. u can also clearly see the difference in their MVs.
