NewJeans can pull this concept off, but based on their music style and clothing that they wear in performances, I don't think that's the case. Both groups emphasize on the youthful concept, but NewJeans have that It-Girl / High School vibes while IllIt have a lot of cute vibes (almost resembling to the Sanrio characters). NewJeans often wear a lot of baggy clothes with a hint of cute; IllIt on the other hand wear Harajuku clothes (closely related to the Lolita / Fairy Kei fashion).
