CONFIRMED 5.0 BANNERS AND 4-STAR PREDICTIONS - Genshin Impact

Now that we know the 4-star characters in the 4.8 banners, let's discuss the confirmed banners in 5.0 and predict the 4-star characters.

Let's start with the confirmed banners in the 5.0 update. It was already confirmed by multiple sources that in the first phase we will get the new character Mualani as well as a Kazuha rerun. The second phase will feature Kinich and Raiden Shogun.

Once again, these will most likely be the final banner lineup for 5.0, and the chances of it being changed in the future are pretty low.

The special program for 5.0 will happen next week on Friday, so there is a high chance that these are the confirmed banners. Besides the official banners, we will also get 3 codes to redeem 300 primogems, which are valid only for 16 hours. I will post them on my channel immediately, so subscribe to not miss it.

Now to the potential 4-star characters.

Obviously, we will see Kachina here, since she has already been announced by the developers. Kachina will most likely be in the first phase, as she looks like she will be very useful in Natlan exploration and many players will pull for her.

Another character with a very high chance to appear in the first phase is Heizou. Can you guess when his last rerun was? It was way back in 3.7, making him the 4-star character with the most time since his last rerun.

Before we continue, one thing to keep in mind is that miHoYo just broke the pattern they have been using for a while now. This pattern is based on the fact that all characters who have been released in a certain region must get a rerun before this region ends.

This time, we have three characters who got their banners in Fontaine but still haven't had their reruns. Those characters are Wriothesley, Charlotte, and Chevreuse. Before these characters, everyone got their rerun, and I think it's safe to say that the reruns of these characters are more likely at the beginning of the Natlan updates.

I think Wriothesley might rerun with Chaska's release in 5.2 since she is also Cryo, and they might have good synergy. But the reruns of Chevreuse and Charlotte are very likely in 5.0.

So there is a very high chance that one of them will be in the first phase and another one in the second.

Another 4-star character who is already confirmed is Kujou Sara, and the reason is very simple—she always appears in Raiden Shogun's banner. She has been in every Raiden banner since version 2.1, so I think it's reasonable to say that it's confirmed.

Another character who might be in the second phase is a 4-star Dendro character. It might be either Collei or Yaoyao. But I think Collei has a better chance because the last Yaoyao banner was in 4.4, while Collei was in 4.2, which makes her rerun gap longer.

3rd banner makes so much sense.. make it exclusively an Archon's only banner and they can add the 4 stars that doesn't fit in the current story with those Archons... we have 5.. soon to be 6, so they could re-run 2 archons every patch w/o affecting the regional characters...

If they just ran a third banner all if the time, and made the weapon banner 3x featured at 1 time, that would solve a lot of problems.
The weapon banner would still be inefficient but the chances of getting something good when you lose would go up.

Personally I'd prefer they just run chronicled once every other patch and keep it running all patch long, then run tripple banners the next patch... then maybe run chronicled again.
Best of all worlds.
That... and do a standard 5* and 4* epitomized path system.
