For some reason it bothers me that it referred to as "Rift" not "The Rift"

Curious, how would I set this up on my desk that is facing the wall? The desk is 2ft from front of the desk to the wall and I have two monitors with spaces on the sides, would it work if I had the sensor on one of the sides? It could be 1m away at best. The other option would be a wall mount up and to the side ig, do we know at how much of an angle it can be at yet?

you say it is so easy lol but I am now 4 hours busy with setting up the sensors because it has to be PERFECT even tho it can see my whole body.

I just gave an new Oculus Rift to my son for Christmas. We are 5 minutes away from boxing this piece of garbage up and returning it to Amazon. We've spent three hours trying to get the sensors setup and are having absolutely no success. The girl on the screen say to place the sensors no more than 6 feet apart, yet in this video she says to place them 2-5 meters. Neither of these works and we are fed up. I've been a computer engineer for nearly 40 years and I am a troubleshooter of the highest level. There is nothing I can't do on computer. That this POS Oculus has no instructions is ridiculous considering how impossible it is to make it work. It tells us we are too close, then it says we are too far (from the sensors). We're done screwing around with it. Wasted money buying a damn GTX 1080ti for this too. I encourage my Son to get a Track IR like I have, which takes 30 seconds to setup and works on the first try. The graphics are a lot better too on my system running a 1080 ti at 4K. Looking at the Oculus headset the resolution is awful and we cannot seem to focus it for either one of us. They could drop the price to $10 and I still would not buy it. Thank goodness Amazon extended their holiday season returns to the end of January 2019. I'll do some research on the more expensive VR alternatives and consider maybe getting one of those if they have a reputation for being possible to setup.

We even watched a video of a guy who's been using his Oculus for more than a year and he says it is a nightmare if you even nudge a sensor a tiny bit then you have to go through the ENTIRE sensor setup process again. Since we can't even succeed once in setting it up I can only imagine the perpetual frustration of doing this every time a sensor gets bumped.

I've been trying to set this up for hours and it keeps telling me it's not tilted correctly or I'm too far away. There are only so many positions I can put this thing on my desk. 0/10 so far Oculus.

So this is the first time I heard about the "2-5 meters away from you" that is 6.5 to 16 feet!
