"Belts take up a ton of space".

Suggests using vaults, which take up even more space...

"They take up a ton of space." Ah yes, Minecraft, the game where I'm chronically strapped for space.

This is gonna become the channel meme: don't use belts, use item vaults

Ok but they look so good, one of the main reasons I love create is because I can see everything really happening unlike other automation mods that just have boxes and pipes that are too industrial to mesh with the rest of minecraft

I DONT CARE HOW MUCH THEY SUCK, AS A FACTORIO PLAYER I *MUST* USE THEM

sure, but the vault only transports it up to 9 blocks at maximal size, and you need tons of resources for that

Casually displays his precision mechanism setup with a belt 😂

Create belts are great for the visual of having a sprawling factory though efficency be damed.

For long distance item transfer, a loooong contraption with a pair of Portable Storage Interfaces is cheaper and also instant.

Oh my god. The assembly line trick was exactly what I was looking for. There's a ton of sequential assembly in Create Astral and I was having trouble keeping the belts from jamming.

Counter point: Belts is why the create mod is one of the best mods. Other mods are just cheap. Same goes for item vaults.

We either make lines out of belts, each line costs 6 pieces of sea weed, two crumbs of iron and andesite, or terrifying constructions of vaults each at the price of 2 iron and 6.2 boards.
By choosing the side of the kelp lines, you save resources for a whole shield

You can move stuff upwards with funnels.
If you put an out going funnel on top of a storage unit, items will be shot out of it upwards a short distance.
Then place an intake funnel on another storage unit so that the funnel is in the path of the flying object. It can be oriented on the sides or bottom of the storage.
And as long as the intake is close enough it will always collect the flying item.
I've only made a system like that with the output and intake directly on each other.

storage = S; funnel = f

S f <-

Like this.

Item vaults are more practical if you cant get speed for belts but even still the belts look cooler

Trust me, they can transport A LOT. Coming from an automation game player, so like Factorio, Satusfactory, etc.
