3 Small Travel Trailers with No Slides

In this YouTube video we tour and review three small camper trailers with no slides.

Why wouldn't you want slide-outs in a travel trailer? Three reasons:
1. Our slide-outs have broken three times so maybe you want to avoid break downs.
2. You have to maintain your slide outs so maybe you want to avoid the extra work.
3. Slide outs can leak and maybe you want to avoid leaky slides.

Slide-outs are great because they do provide extra floor space, but maybe they aren't worth it.

The three small camper trailers without slides outs we walk through in this video are:
0:00 Intro
0:54 Starcraft Autumn Ridge 20MB
12:02 Forest River R-Pod RP192
19:58 Winnebago Micro Minnie 1720FB

I love the space slide outs give ❤, but not the R values. We’ve noticed in cold weather slide areas can be colder with the slides closed over out. We also noticed during a windy storm on a cold 🥶 night that when the wind gusted at a given angle, cold air flooded the room. Burr would be an understatement. We cranked up the heat, a mistake, as all night we would either be hot 🥵, covers off, wind gust 🥶 covers on.

The Starcraft might actually work for my daughter and her family, nice lay out; shower curtain aside, lol. The winnebago's layout didn't really make sense to me. The middle one, meh. Take care out there you two. Thanks for all the info.

Can we pick a combination of #2 and #3? Love #3 but with the bathroom of #2... If we could all get together and select the good things from each it would be perfect! Thanks for yet another great video.

I am really impressed with everything that the Autumn Ridge has at that price point.

I love no slide rvs! IMHO, there is no such thing as too big a kitchen sink! TV trays work great to create more counter space 😄❣️

I guess I need to study up on these 12V fridges because they seem to be the coming thing. I just don't understand how they would be practical for extensive boondocking.

The first camper would be the best for me. I like the double bunks.

I like the rpod. If they do the beast mode suspension on it, that is a real contender for me.

Like the storage of the Winnebago. It also shows how useful the Murphy bed is. With a couch at that location it would have been great. Appreciate the way Winnebago used the front curve and made more storage. The second one could have done that in the back with all that wasted space on top. Thanks for the great reviews.

Nice reviews Susan and Mike, thanks for your work. It would be an absolute nightmare to have 8 people in the first one. Cramped, 1 toilet, 1 shower. I'm a bit too tall to be comfortable in any of those showers. Also, not enough cooking prep space in the lot of them and I've never been a fan of winnebago in any form. Thanks for the info though.

Great video! Could you do a video on travel trailers that sleep 6-8 people? Just an idea/request 😊.

Thanks for the info Mike and Susan. Have to admit that I do like slides!! No other reason than to give you the more space……. The reason for slides!!

I was disappointed because we are a couple, but we are outside people. We would only be inside on stormy days and going to bed. You didn't show any that had an outside kitchen... but I still enjoy your videos. You are very

For the Starcraft Autumn Ridge - I like the darker decor. Seems easier to keep clean. The little storage under the sofa is cool. Great for extra blanket and pillow storage. I like that it doesn't have a tiny fridge. I would turn the bunk area into an office. I agree, the could be smaller to allow for more counter space.

The Forest River - Light up wardrobe closets, cool feature. I don't like that doesn't have an oven. Good size bathroom.

The Winnebago Micro Minnie - It's smaller than the other trailers but it costs more? I like that it does have a convection microwave in it. Bathroom is too small.
