How to disable the keyless entry on a Toyota GR Yaris.

I just did the exact same thing today to my GR Yaris and feel MUCH safer now.

Its just crazy that car companys basically build-in an feature that makes it easy for (two) thiefs to steal the cars as soon as they pick up the car-key signal when walking along your house/flat walls.
Its as if they WANT the cars to get stolen at some point.
With this feature enabled, you can basically just leave your car unlocked & unattended everywhere where the thiefs can guess the location of your car-keys.

Excellent video and very helpful. I will disable the keyless entry on my Yaris Cross not because it's likely to be a target for theft but I only do 200 miles/month and this will reduce the likelihood of the 12 volt battery going flat. Best wishes Chas😊

Can't thieves still copy the key fob signal since you're still using the fob to unlock the vehicle? I guess they only have that 1 or 2 seconds when the button is pressed to try and copy the signal instead of the car and fob constantly relaying signals during keyless entry and unattended.
