Why Leopard Geckos NEED a Humid Hide

A Humid Hide is an essentially part of leopard gecko care and aids in helping them to thrive! You can go as simple or as fancy as you want, but the important this is they have a clean humid hides that provides them a consistent microclimate of increased humidity. This will help your Leopard Gecko shed more easily, stay hydrated & it can serve as a lay box for females

Do you ever have to worry about humid hides getting moldy? Or do you have to change the moss out daily to stop mold growth if it occurs? Im a little worried it will become a mold breeding ground in my tanks, or does this not occur?
I wanted to make some humid hides for my reptile buddies, since college starts back up and I won't be able to mist down tanks as often!
