You should NEVER grab a leopard gecko by their tail and raise them up like that. They can potentially drop their tails, which is NOT a pleasant process for them and is the result of stress and fear. It is also just extremely uncomfortable for them, and tossing them down like that is simply unacceptable. They can feel every single thing that you do to them.
