I Learned Pivot Animator in 30 minute! But...

Hi. The developer here. Great video. There are a couple of features that could have saved you time like modify figure type to add the hands and feet without having to set the colour and pose again, or add inbetweens to timeline to be able to adjust them. Learning to select multiple frames also helps. The user guide is a good place to start for learning how to use Pivot (Help menu). I will continue to remove the false alarms, which as you said are only there because of optional and safe ads.

OMG, Pivot Animator had really improved quite a lot of things, it's been a super long time for me to look back at it but it is quite nice to see someone trying it out again.
For me, it didn't really activated my virus detector for some reason when I download it.

It's refreshing to hear Pivot Animator. When I was much younger, I played around with it with fewer updates than it has now. Nothing serious really came out of it. Great video, I hope your vid gets more exposure

Hello Im new to the channel and I really like your video. I've been using it for a year to make animations on my channel. I've got an interesting tip for you whenever you want to animate in Pivot Animator : when you're in the edit mode, aka the pencil button, select something that is the root for the majority of the stickman, for instance the upper left arm or torso not the yellow one btw, and hold shift. this will allow you to select multiple limbs at the same time! sorry if you didn't understand. Im not that good at explaining :/

i tried using pivot animator 2 years ago and it sorta a pain to use it. now looking at it now its really amazing that they improved the software

7:34 It was buggy because pivot uses every limb's data for inbetweening. So when you animate a step in walking/running, right leg go forward, and in another step left leg goes forward. But you copied frames just after animating only one leg movement, which made the right leg make a step and then both legs just switch positions after where the frames were copied. That's why it didn;t work.

Also, if you want to mass-copy-paste frames, you can multi-select them and then copy all of them at once. Just click the first frame you want to copy, and then shift + click last frame you want to copy, this will select all the frames between two selected ones.

Somewhere in my grandmas house theres a usb which is 100% full with pivot animations (one of them took two weeks (summer vacation)) the one that took 2 weeks is 1 hour quite crazy (all of them are alan becker fan animations)

ive used pivot animator in the past


and im honest, im surprised how it changed rn, and NOW, you can curve the sticks figures????

prob im gona try that program again, and maybe use it just for reference poses or animations poses when i start drawing them

actually you can turn inbetweens into frames which helps to animate easier and fix issues but i forgot how to do, creator of this program has made video tutorial for inbetweens.
