Just got finished binging all of your homelab videos, and you’ve inspired me to redo mine! Got a new switch and R210 coming from Canada and a new rack from Amazon soon.

That is great gear for a home lab. Right now, my homelab consists of a home built 20 bay 4U media server, and a 4U rack mounted threadripper system. My media server is a 24 core dual xeon rig with 128 gigs of DDR3( I love cheap ram). My threadripper is a gen1 1950x system. Its old but still fast. I also have a Dell R720XD on my work bench waiting for storage. I'm not sure if the R720 is going to be a blue iris server or the storage target for blue iris running on another rig. Either way, the homelab bug is a fun bug to get. Its a great if expensive hobby.

How is the power efficiency of the R740 compared to an R730? I know going from an R710 to an R730 was way more efficient. My 730 is currently sitting at 110 Watts and it's got a bunch of VMs running
