I spent one week with the newest 2023 model of the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and was a little surprised by some things I found. When this laptop comes from the factory, it is a little bottlenecked by the single-channel RAM. Also, it comes with an unoccupied RAM stick, meaning you can add an extra stick.

Hello! I know this is a bit of an off topic, but I have a big question. I own the exact same model as shown in the video and I'm having trouble with changing my screen brightness. I really don't know if it's an AMD or NVidia or ASUS driver problem. So far, I have upgraded every single driver available from those companies and Windows is showing no updates are needed. Yet the problem persists. Have you found a fix for this issue? Thank you.

I do prefer it this way since i could get 32gb easier than the previous model when buying base model.

Had to get 32gb stick paired with the soldered 8gb stick before. And throwout the other 8gb stick

This seems to be better honestly.

Will it drop less 8k frames with 16GB soldered + 32GB stick installed (48GB RAM)? It probably needs 16GB graphics card more than the RAM.

I will use for mostly all software applications related to IT & CS such as programming, virtualbox (OS), adobe softwares, blender etc with occasional gaming

My choice in the budget i have

Asus tuf a15 : ryzen 7 6800h & 3060

Asus tuf f15 : i7 12700h & 3050 ti

Please tell which one will be best from both of these and you can also suggest any other best laptop near this budget

The phrasing is a little misleading. The difference is not 16G vs 32G ram, rather 1 Dimm vs 2 Dimm of memory stick, or single vs dual channel.

my laptop boots twicw to start its the zephyrus 2022 rtx 3060 r7 6800. The rog logo appears initially, screen goes blank and then the rog logo reappears and then everything boots normally. What should I do? Is it fine that it boots twice?

Can u add any sodimm ddr5 ram or does it have be a specific speed and type?

just change to better ram size/speed and ssd size/speed, for old laptops you can notice the boost, i have old 2016 laptop that i upgraded to ssd.
