I was there when it happened my school is right next to the airport it occurred. The build he almost hit is a newly built factory that experts say will cause a plane crash sooner or later.

Retracting the landing gear was an absolute necessity with how low he was and the attitude of that plane. He would have clipped that roof if he didn’t.

For those of you that don't understand this whenever you're landing an airplane essentially your crash landing because if you don't walk away from it you crash landed if you walk away you landed from a crash landing the pilot did the right thing you got to remember it's quick thinking stuff they don't come up with the right solution quick enough there could be a big giant disaster He did just fine They walked away😊

The gear were retracted for best glide efficiency per SOP for that aircraft in case of engine failure
